Skating involves any sports or recreational activity which consists of travelling on surfaces or on ice using skates. There are several different kinds of skating like ice skating, figure skating, speed skating, roller skating, inline skating, freestyle skating, artistic roller skating.  It is however a great form of exercise, a competitive sport, or a mode of transportation. Once you learn the proper stance and how to glide and stop, you'll be sailing around the rink in no time.

Begiiners must first assume the right posture by Placing your feet shoulder width apart, bend your knees, and squat. Lower your backside toward the ground and lean slightly forward in a comfortable squatting position. When you're roller skating, balance is key, and this stance will prevent you from toppling over. Walk like a duck. With your heels together and your toes pointed out, begin slowly walking forward, first the right, then to the left, then to the right, and so on. Continue squatting and keep your heels directly underneath your body so you can more easily keep your balance.

This may seem easier than it look but it is very complex but the chances of hurting yourself are very high if the right kind of protection and guidance is not ensured. A professional trainer will impart the necessary fundamentals of skating and provide you with the correct techniques taking your skills to the next level.
